This week, by request, I’ll be posting the patterns and matching tutorial for the Lebanese traditional doll costume you see pictured below. It includes the sherwal (underpants) and veil. Please follow ChellyWood.com to get updates as I post each pattern and the tutorials that match them.
I designed this dress as a gift for my cousin who (unbeknownst to me) was pregnant with her first child–who turned out to be a girl. Perfect, right? My cousin is married to a clever, witty, and cool Lebanese guy, so I was really just making it for my cousin, to satisfy my curiosity about her husband’s home country.
This pattern should fit most fashion dolls like Barbie, Pullip, Momoko, Poppy Parker, Fashion Royalty, etc.
All of my patterns are free to print on this page, and if you’re wondering why I offer so many great patterns and tutorials for free, please visit this page.
