Sew a dress with a collar and zipper for Lottie dolls w/FREE pattern @ ChellyWood.com #TinyThings #DollClothesPatterns

Framed by a blue linen square, we see a Lottie doll wearing a pretty yellow handmade dress that has a black collar and short black sleeves. The Chelly Wood dot com logo appears in the corner, and the words "free pattern" appear at an angle above the photo of the doll modeling her lovely full-skirted dress.

Today’s pattern makes such a lovely little dress! But I’m also really excited about today’s tutorial, which will show you how to create a collar from bias tape, as well as how to stitch a 3-inch zipper into a doll’s dress.

Both the bias tape collar and the zipper are firsts for my website, so even if you’re not sewing for Lottie dolls, you may learn a lot by watching today’s tutorial.

For this pretty little dress project, you’ll need some small print cotton fabric , a 3-inch zipper, and either 1/2 inch bias tape that’s not folded or 1/4 inch folded bias tape.

Please note: you may want some tulle, as well, which will make your skirt very full. However this is optional.

Today’s pattern will fit these dolls:
