When I first posted the pattern for today’s dress, I showed it on Monster High and Ever After High dolls in the video, but it also fits 1:12 scale dolls like the small Breyer Riders. And it’s such a lovely little dress! So I wanted to do a blog post to point this pattern out to all the sewists who enjoy working with 1:12 scale dolls, like the dollhouse miniaturists and other similar collectors.
For this project, you’ll need some small print cotton fabric and some size 4/0 Dritz snaps.
Please note: the pattern suggests that you cut the skirt on the fold of the fabric, but I didn’t do that. I used the skirt pattern without cutting it on the fold to achieve this look.
If you do want a fuller skirt, of course, you can cut your skirt fabric on the fold.
Today’s pattern will fit these dolls:
- Monster High female dolls
- Ever After High female dolls
- Kuu Kuu Harajuku dolls
- Snapstar dolls
- 6″ classic Breyer Rider dolls (1:12 scale)
- Mattel’s Chelsea dolls (5.5 inches or 13.5 cm)
- 6.75 inch Strawberry Shortcake dolls (17 cm)
