As you can see in the video above and the photo below, today I’m sharing a brand new pattern and tutorial video, for making a play dress to fit 5 inch to 6 inch dolls, like Disney’s Mini Elsa.

A Disney Mini toddler Elsa doll that stands 5 and 3/4 inches tall is displayed, wearing a handmade dress. The dress is made of a white cotton fabric dotted with oversized pale blue and purplish flowers and teeny-tiny bright pink and purplish hearts. The dress is sleeveless and has a straight skirt with a ribbon around the waist. The ribbon is made of purplish -- almost wine colored-- velvet. The doll stands on a wooden floor, wearing shoes that match her velvet ribbon. The wall behind her is a soft blue like the oversized flowers that splash across her tiny cotton dress. The ChellyWood.com logo appears in the upper right-hand corner of the image.

Please note that the skirt of the dress fits a little too long on some dolls (like Anna and Chelsea) and a little bit shorter on other dolls (like the Lottie doll), which is shown in the video at the top of this page.

You may recall that at the start of January, I made a New Year’s goal to create galleries of doll clothes for Mini Elsa (along with a few other dolls), since my niece, Emily, had told me that her Disney’s Mini Elsa Toddler doll only had one pajama outfit to wear and no play clothes. Well, today’s blog post demonstrates that I can make good on my New Year’s resolutions!

I hope you’ll join me in making this really cute dress for the “tiny doll” fan in your family! I used Valentine’s Day printed fabric for mine, and I think it turned out pretty cute.

If you want to make this dress for your tiny doll, you’ll need some cotton tiny-print fabric, a bit of velvet ribbon, and some size 4/0 Dritz snaps.
