Patterns and tutorials for making this outfit have been available on my website for a very long time. In fact, it goes back to the earliest days of this website. That’s why the photography in that picture at the top seems a little dark. I didn’t have a very good camera back then!

Frankly, my videos weren’t great back then either, but I suppose people still watch them from time to time.

But today I’m offering these original “summer wardrobe” patterns as a PDF for the first time on my website, along with the newer versions of the same wardrobe.

As my regular followers know, my earliest patterns were only available as JPG images back when I first started this blog. I’m slowly converting all of these older patterns from JPG images to PDFs for easy downloading and printing.

That’s why I’m doing a re-post of this older project. I wanted to offer both the new and the old versions as an easy-to-download PDF. You can also see how the instructions (and the quality of my videos) have changed over time.

For today’s summer shirt and capri pants, you’ll want some cotton fabric, teeny-tiny buttons for the shirt, and snaps for the pants. Hopefully you’ll find those links helpful.

Today’s patterns will fit these dolls:

This is a free printable PDF sewing pattern, which includes a summer wardrobe to fit 11 and a half inch fashion dolls like Barbie, Queens of Africa, and similar sized dolls. This wardrobe is from Chelly Wood's older hand-drawn pattern collection. The patterns themselves do not show the seam allowances, but a 4 mm seam allowance is incorporated into the designs. This wardrobe includes patterns for shorts, capri pants, and a sleeveless summer shirt. The pattern is marked with the Creative Commons Attribution symbol.
