Here are the free, printable sewing patterns for the 18-inch doll traditional Swedish pocket that you see in the video above:

Tomorrow I’ll offer more free patterns for making the entire outfit shown in the image on this page.

This month I’m “remastering” some of my old videos and changing JPG images to PDFs, so you can easily download all the patterns for my old Swedish traditional costume for 18” dolls. To learn more about this traditional clothing and today’s pocket project, you might Google Dalarna, Sweden, the part of Sweden where this type of clothing came from originally.

But I must apologize for the quality of these older tutorials, even though I’ve worked hard to update them. Even after they’ve been remastered, these tutorial videos aren’t of the highest quality, and I’ll be the first to admit that these old patterns were all hand-drawn.

However if you’re curious about why I’m digging up these old patterns and tutorial videos, please see this explanation.

Don’t forget to show your appreciation for my free patterns and tutorials by sharing them on Facebook, pinning them on Pinterest, and/or tweeting about them (yes, you have my permission). Here’s another JPG image you can easily share on Pinterest, for example:

This is a YouTube tutorial header that says "Swedish Pocket DIY" and shows the image of an 18 inch doll wearing a Swedish type of purse called a "Pocket" with hand embroidery embellishing it. The URL where you can find both the free printable pdf pattern for making this pocket purse and the tutorial video that walks you through how to make a Swedish pocket step by step can be found at ChellyWood.com
