#SewingBlogger Thursday: #Sew a pair of summer shorts for vintage Tammy #dolls

Today I’m sharing my shorts/ pants and sleeveless top patterns for Tammy dolls. You saw this pattern earlier this year, when I posted it as pajama pants. But I’ve created a tutorial showing how to make the shorts now, so it’s time to re-post.

So here are all the patterns and tutorials you’ll need to make this week’s shorts-plus-felt-top combo to fit vintage Tammy dolls (made by the Ideal Toy Corp):

If this week’s video tutorial looks familiar, that’s because it’s a remastered version of an older tutorial. I’ve shortened some of the video clips and changed the focus of the video.

Don’t forget to show your appreciation for my free patterns and tutorials by liking them on Facebook, pinning them on Pinterest, and/or tweeting about them (yes, you have my permission). These images may help you share the patterns easily:

The Tammy doll's shorts use a tiny argyle print, and she stands in a 1:6 scale room with a window and a hard wood floor. Behind her is a tall china hutch filled with itty bitty pieces of dishware. She models her handmade shirt with a fashion-model pose, her chin held high. 1. Thanks a bunch for sharing. What pattern works for the Topper Dawn & Pippa Dolls. I am so excited to start sewing for them,o ce I find the right pattern. There’re scales is small but I love the challenge. So please let me no if you see any customized patterns. Or for any pattern they would fit.

    Thanking you in advance e

    1. As I understand it, the Topper Dawn and Pippa dolls are 6.5-inch (16.5 cm) dolls. Their body shape is a lot like the 6-inch Breyer Rider dolls on my website. Currently, I only have one dress that fits the 6-inch Breyer rider doll. It’s my pink A-line dress.

Later this year, though, I’ll be posting a few more patterns that fit the 6-inch Breyer dolls. If I don’t get these posted by October, please leave another comment suggesting that I post them or submit a question regarding those patterns.

In the meantime, here’s a link to my pink A-line dress which does fit the 6.5 inch Breyer Rider doll: https://chellywood.com/#jp-carousel-160067
