#SewingBlogger Thursday: #Dolls’ Skirt #Sewing Extravaganza! @ ChellyWood.com

The video tutorial above is really just a re-design of an older (but very popular) tutorial, showing how to make an elastic-waist skirt for fashion dolls. The original tutorial had no video clips, so in this re-design, I’ve made it a point to add video clips wherever I think it might help.

This week on ChellyWood.com, we’ve been revisiting one of my St. Patrick’s Day skirt patterns, which are very versatile. You can use this one pattern to make a variety of different skirt styles:

Please visit ChellyWood.com for FREE printable sewing patterns to fit dolls of many shapes and sizes. The image shows a variety of different fashion dolls modeling different lengths of skirt: there's a Curvy Barbie wearing a maxi skirt, three skippers wearing skirts of different lengths and styles (some with a ruffle, some with tulle under-skirting), and even a Monster High doll. All the skirts use shamrock-pattered fabric in various floral and plaid print fabrics of green, white, and black. The overlay reminds you that these free patterns (and tutorial videos) for making these skirts come from ChellyWood.com, a website with hundreds of free, printable sewing patterns in PDF and MS word printable downloadable pattern formats.

Yesterday I gave you the free, printable PDF patterns for this set of skirts:

With this easy-to-sew elastic-waist skirt pattern, you could make any of the skirts shown in these photos.

Take a look at each image below. Beneath the image of a doll wearing a skirt is a link to a tutorial showing you how to make that particular skirt. (A lot of them use the same tutorial video, just as you can use the same pattern for each look.)

  1. You still have not figured out a way to make your patterns actual size so everyone can download them. PDF file would be great

    1. Did you have trouble downloading the PDF of this pattern Jan? 😮 Please reply! The PDF download seems to be working on my end, but if it’s not working for my followers, I’d really like to know.

For your reference, the PDF pattern download link is just under the image of the three Skipper dolls standing together with a Curvy Barbie and a Monster High doll all in one beach diorama.
