As I said in yesterday’s blog post, this is the first of two patterns you’ll need to download and print, in order to make the 18-inch doll pants I showed in yesterday’s blog post. Tomorrow I’ll post the second part (the lower half) of the pattern.
Once you have the patterns, you’ll cut them out and tape them together along the connecting line. My video tutorial will show you how to do that.
This top portion of the doll pants pattern could potentially be used to make a pair of shorts to fit AG dolls/ Madame Alexander dolls and other 18″ dolls, but although I’ve cut out some fabric to try that approach, I have not yet checked the pattern for accuracy in that capacity. Later, once I determine whether or not the shorts pattern will work, I’ll likely post it again, along with a different shirt pattern to accompany the shorts.
This free printable doll clothes pants pattern is part of an entire ensemble that will fit 18 inch dolls like American Girl dolls , Madame Alexander dolls, and many dolls of a similar shape and size.

Please note: you must enlarge my patterns to fit a full-sized piece of American computer paper (8.5 x 11 inches or 216 x 279 mm) without margins, before printing. These designs use a scant 1/4 inch seam (4 mm to be exact).
My patterns are now available through “Creative Commons Attribution.” This means that I created my patterns (and therefore I own rights to them), but I’m willing to share them with everyone who will tell people about my website.
