Male fashion #Dolls’ #Shirt and pants pattern is #7 on my top free sewing patterns list

Image of patterns for a shirt back, jeans pocket, tie top, tie, and dressy trousers or pants to fit male fashion dolls like Mattel's Ken or Spin Master Liv Doll Jake. Shirt may fit GI Joe dolls, as does the tie pattern. Small print says, "Patterns use 1/4 inch seams. Please enlarge the pattern to fit an 11 x 8.5 inch sheet of American computer paper (216 x 279 mm) before printing. Visit ChellyWood.com to find the tutorial video to match this pattern.

This is my “Trousers and Dress Shirt” pattern set for male fashion dolls, and it’s #7 on my list of the “Top 15 Downloaded Patterns from ChellyWood.com.”

I realize this is just a partial shirt pattern, but the other portion of the shirt pattern will appear later, on my list of the top 15. So hang in there!

Meanwhile, if you’re dying to make this shirt, My Gallery Page is the easiest way to search through all of my patterns to find what you want. Each image on the Gallery Page takes you to links for patterns and tutorials.

Also, please note that the trousers in this pattern were designed to fit the Jake doll from the Spin Master Liv doll collection. For Ken pants, I recommend you go to My Gallery Page to find what you’re looking for.

Please note: you must enlarge my patterns to fit a full-sized piece of American computer paper (8.5 x 11 inches or 216 x 279 mm) without margins, before printing. These designs use a 1/4 inch seam (standard for fashion doll sewing projects).

If you’re wondering why I make patterns and videos without charging a fee, please visit the “Chelly’s Books” page, and that should explain my general motivations. It’s always friendly and kind to show your appreciation for my free patterns and tutorials by liking them on Facebook, pinning them on Pinterest, and/or tweeting about them (yes, you have my permission). You’re also welcome to add any of my YouTube channel’s videos to your playlists.

In case you haven’t heard, I’ve also designed commercial patterns for Lammily LLC. They have some new dolls in their line, including a new male doll, so you might want to visit the Lammily website to see what they’ve got going on.

I also have a series of tutorials for the beginning sewists on my YouTube channel. It includes video tutorials showing you how to do a basic straight stitch when sewing by hand, how to gather fabric, how to use the whipstitch to hem a garment, how to sew on snaps, and even how to design your own doll clothes patterns, just like I do!

  1. Just discovered your website and tutorials, thank goodness, you are a lifesaver!! I am not a person who sews alot of doll clothes, but recently I decided to make some for the dolls I use in my photo setups of dog handlers for MCCOS dog shows. I made a mess of things on my own, but now I have a place to go to get patterns and tips for sewing. Thank you!!
