Like I did with previous sweepstakes giveaways, I’ll post patterns and tutorials for making this ninja outfit after the sweepstakes is over and these prizes have been delivered to their new owner. So are you ready to win these?!? Here are the instructions:

Since I’m a middle school librarian in my day job, I love to encourage people to read and/or buy copies of my favorite books. And I’m being 100% truthful when I say that my very favorite ninja book is The Black Lotus: Shadow of the Ninja by Kieran Fanning. This book came out in the fall of 2016, here in the US. Because its plot is super fun to read and the storyline is wholesome (no bad language; no sex; very family-friendly), I want to spread the word that this book is available for school librarians and YA/MG book-lovers like me. So I decided to help promote it with a little sweepstakes contest of my own.

To win my handmade ninja outfit, please do one or more of the following:

If you do not wish to help promote this fantastic ninja book for kids, you may also submit a sweepstakes entry via e-mail. Just fill out the “Submit a Question” form with the comment, “I want to win the ninja outfit.” Entering the sweepstakes indicates that you have read the “Disclaimers and Rules” as stated below, and you agree to abide by them. This sweepstakes ends at midnight on March 21, 2017 (Mountain Standard Time).

Disclaimers and Rules: No purchase is necessary. Dolls, shoes, stands, sword and sheath, theatrical set, props, and other accessories shown in advertisements are not included. All entries have the same chance of winning, which is based on the total number of entries. Multiple entries do not increase your chances of winning, nor do additional methods of entry (i.e. if you pin the book’s cover art on Pinterest and post the book trailer to Facebook, it doesn’t entitle you to extra entries). Sweepstakes begins on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at 5:00 AM and ends at midnight on March 21, 2017. You must be 18 years of age or older, as of February 21, 2017, in order to enter. If you are underage, please have a parent or guardian who is 18 or older enter for you. This sweepstakes is sponsored by the doll clothing designer, Chelly Wood. Questions, comments, or concerns should be sent via email, using the “Submit a Question” button on this website. The prize includes one handmade, ninja mask for dolls and one handmade ninja body suit for dolls. Snaps have been sewn to these articles of doll clothing, so only children 3 and up should be allowed to play with them, as the small parts may pose a choking hazard. The dolls, shoes, accessories, doll stand, stage, furniture, toy sword, toy sheath, belt, and other stage props shown in the advertisements are NOT INCLUDED in this sweepstakes.

The entire prize will be sent via US Postal Service without charge to the winner. Its approximate value is $15.00 US, plus shipping and handling. There will only be one winner randomly chosen from all entries submitted between 5:00 AM on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 and midnight on March 21, 2017. A winner will be announced on this blog, within ten days of the drawing, in a blog post. The winner will be contacted via e-mail or by way of blog comments. If the winner does not leave contact information via his/her entry, he or she must contact Chelly Wood by midnight on March 31st in order to claim his/her prize. Otherwise, the prize will go to a runner-up (to be drawn at random from the other entries who will be given the same time allotted for contact and claim).
