Today I’d like to look at some of the places doll collectors and doll crafters frequent.

If you’re looking for inspiration, Pinterest has a plethora of Barbie images (and some free patterns) that can fill your mind with the many possible ways to dress your dolls.

Do you wish you had a place to show off your creations? Try Craftster. It’s not just for folks who love Barbies®, but you can also display paper crafts, crochet projects, plushies, miniatures, and so much more!

Does your Barbie need some furniture? My Froggie Stuff offers fantastic video tutorials that demonstrate how to make everything from a bedroom set to a living room fireplace.

Another place I like to visit is Etsy. This is a place where seamstresses (like me) can sell their doll clothes creations (and anything else you make for your dolls). You can buy patterns there, home-made shoes and accessories, and lovely furniture items. Have you seen that tall wooden hutch in my Romeo and Juliet pictures? I bought that on Etsy!

Etsy also offers tiny buttons, handmade labels, and doll-sized zippers, for those of us who like to sew in miniature.

Most seamstresses know about JoAnn Fabrics and Crafts, but did you know they have a website where you can download coupons and see their latest products? Here’s a link to JoAnn’s online store.

Spoonflower is a website where you can buy fabric with unusually tiny print. Having trouble finding a pinstripe that’s narrow enough to make Ken a 1940’s-style zoot suit? Spoonflower is the place to go!
