#Barbie® is ready for #ElectionDay! Did you #Vote? Barbie® did…

Visit ChellyWood.com for free printable sewing patterns. Image shows Made to Move Barbie wearing a patriotic dress (it looks a lot like she's wearing a US flag). She also wears a sticker that says, "I voted." Her headscarf is a patriotic independence blue with white polka dots (like stars) and the majority of her dress is red-and-white striped. One corner of her dress is also made of blue fabric with white dots. The watermark says, "ChellyWood.com: free printable sewing patterns and tutorials for doll clothes."

Let’s face it. Barbie® has been an astronaut, architect, paleontologist, and teacher. She has served in the military, served as an ambassador for world peace, and she has been a candidate for the presidency since 1992. Why wouldn’t she vote? She’s an educated, worldly-wise individual, isn’t she?

I hope you get out and vote today too! Your voice counts.

I’m not usually a very political person, myself, but I do believe in the power of the People. Which is why I decided to post this patriotic dress and scarf set for Election Day–today!

Here are all the patterns and tutorials you’ll need to make the dress and scarf shown above:

Well, I guess that’s all for this election year. Don’t forget to vote, everyone!

Need help printing my patterns? This link will take you to a tutorial showing you how to download my free, printable patterns.

Please note: you must enlarge the pattern to fit a full-sized piece of American computer paper (8.5 x 11 inches or 216 x 279 mm) before printing. My designs use a 1/4 inch seam (standard for fashion doll sewing projects).

When you print my patterns, it’s always friendly and kind to like it on FB, tweet about it, and/or pin it to your Pinterest page.

If you’re wondering why I make patterns and videos without charging a fee, please visit the “Chelly’s Books” page, and that should explain my general motivations.

In case you haven’t heard, I have also designed commercial patterns for Lammily LLC. They have some new dolls in their line, including a new male doll, so you might want to visit the Lammily website to see what they’ve got going on.

I’ve also got a series of tutorials for the beginning sewists on my YouTube channel. It includes video tutorials showing you how to do a basic straight stitch when sewing by hand, how to gather fabric, how to use the whipstitch to hem a garment, how to sew on snaps, and even how to design your own doll clothes patterns, just like I do!

  1. I am 100% agree with you for the power of the people; if everyone voted for Barbie today, it is certain that the world would be better since it has experienced nearly every facet of many social and business circles, and not just a “money maker” as “some two candidates of the day” !

And I take this opportunity to thank you and congratulate you on your wonderful website and all your very interesting.

    Vive Barbie !
