#DIY Pants #Tutorial Video for #Dolls @ ChellyWood.com

This tutorial video accompanies the free, printable sewing pattern for “slender dolls,” which I posted on Tuesday of this week. If you’re looking for a pants pattern to fit other dolls, like Barbie®, Ken®, Tall Barbie®, Breyer® dolls, or another doll, please visit my Gallery Page. On that page, you simply click on the image of an outfit you’d like to make, and it takes you to a page where you can find all the free patterns for that particular outfit.

The easiest pants pattern for Ken®, is my elastic waist pants pattern. It goes with this tutorial (see link).

The simplest pattern for Barbie® pants is probably my capri pants pattern. Here’s the tutorial for making the capri pants.

Today’s tutorial (and Tuesday’s free pattern) was designed for slender-figured dolls like the Project MC2® dolls, Spin Master Liv Dolls®, and dolls with similar body types. If you’re wondering whether or not this pattern will fit a certain doll, please submit a question. If I own that type of doll, I’ll try these pants on the doll and see if they will fit. Then I’ll email you a response to your question.

Once you’ve viewed my free tutorial video, it’s always friendly and kind to like it on FB, tweet about it, and/or pin it to your Pinterest page. I certainly appreciate it when you do!

Need help printing my patterns? This link will take you to a tutorial showing you how to download my free, printable patterns.

Please note: you must enlarge the pattern to fit a full-sized piece of American computer paper (8.5 x 11 inches or 216 x 279 mm) before printing. My designs use a 1/4 inch seam (standard for fashion doll sewing projects).

If you’re wondering why I make patterns and videos without charging a fee, please visit the “Chelly’s Books” page, and that should explain my general motivations.

In case you haven’t heard, I have also designed commercial patterns for Lammily LLC. They have some new dolls in their line, including a new male doll, so you might want to visit the Lammily website to see what they’ve got going on.

I’ve also got a series of tutorials for the beginning sewists on my YouTube channel. It includes video tutorials showing you how to do a basic straight stitch when sewing by hand, how to gather fabric, how to use the whipstitch to hem a garment, how to sew on snaps, and even how to design your own doll clothes patterns, just like I do!
