I typically post this costume around Thanksgiving time in the US, because it’s quite popular for people to want to make Pilgrim costumes for Thanksgiving. But I didn’t think it would hurt to post it in July, as it also works well as a Renaissance Faire costume, and ’tis the season for RenFaires! (Incidentally, I designed this dress for the doll who plays the Nurse in my stop-motion video of Romeo and Juliet.)

The white part of the dress, is simply a wedding dress pattern with no embellishments. Here are the patterns and tutorials for that:

The bonnet is surprisingly easy to make. If you’re looking for an easy-peasy sewing pattern for a child to do, I recommend that pattern. You sew straight lines, and there are very few steps to making it.
