Visit ChellyWood.com for free, printable sewing patterns to fit dolls of many shapes and sizes. Image shows Ken doll wearing jeans and a raglan-style T-shirt. He stands next to a Barbie doll who wears a raglan-sleeved T-shirt with a pencil-style knit skirt. They appear to be chatting on a boardwalk overlooking an ocean view. The sky is sunny behind them. Visit Chelly Wood Dot Com for more free, printable sewing patterns like this one.As you can see in the image above, I’ve designed a raglan-style T-shirt for both male and female fashion dolls, and I’ve posted those patterns and tutorials here, along with the pattern for the pencil skirt (and its coinciding tutorial) and the pattern for my favorite pants for male fashion dolls like Ken™ and Jake.

A couple of things need to be noted: the pattern for Ken’s or Jake’s elastic-waist pants may confuse you. I use the same pattern for my bi-colored Renaissance trousers for Ken or other male fashion dolls. However, without the “inlay” piece, this pattern is the perfect pattern for making a generic pair of elastic-waist pants for Ken or other slender, male fashion dolls. (It doesn’t fit the older, more muscular Ken dolls or G. I. Joe, but it does fit Jake dolls and Ever After High™ male dolls.)

Secondly, the pencil skirt pattern says it’s designed to fit the new Tall Barbie™ from Mattel’s Fashionista™ line, but honestly, that pencil skirt pattern will fit nearly any 11 to 12-inch fashion doll under the sun! It will probably even fit Monster High™ dolls with their freakishly tiny little waists. Just measure your elastic to fit whichever waist size you’re dealing with.

If you can’t find a specific pattern, just submit a question to me directly.

I’ve also got a playlist of tutorials for the beginning sewists on my YouTube channel. It includes video tutorials showing you how to do a basic straight stitch when sewing by hand, how to use the whipstitch to hem a garment, how to sew on snaps, and even how to design your own doll clothes patterns, for those who are new to design and alterations.

If you’re wondering why I make patterns and tutorials without charging a fee, please visit the “Chelly’s Books” page, and that should explain my general motivations. Overall, I love to sew, design doll clothes, and embroider, and I think it’s important to share my talents with the world, so others can learn to do what I do.

And in case you haven’t heard, I have also designed commercial patterns for Lammily LLC. They have some new dolls coming out soon, so you might want to visit the Lammily website to see what they’ve got going on.
