Yes, folks, this is a re-post for a lacy negligee that fits Barbie, Momoko, and I’m told it also fits Blythe (the doll) and Pullip dolls. I designed this night gown for Act III, Scene 5 in my stop-motion video of Romeo and Juliet. So it was originally designed to fit Momoko Dolls, but I was pleasantly surprised to find this negligee pattern is fairly universal, fitting a number of different dolls.

Later, when I started to film Act V of Romeo and Juliet, I designed a red ball gown to go over the negligee. Take a look at yesterday’s post to see this lovely Renaissance gown. I’ll be posting the pattern and tutorial for the red gown later this week.

Meanwhile, enjoy this easy-to-sew pattern that fits many different fashion dolls.

As you may recall, you must enlarge my patterns to fit a full-sized piece of American computer paper (8.5 x 11 inches or 216 x 279 mm) before printing. My designs use a 1/4 inch seam (standard for fashion doll sewing projects), but if you’re making this for Barbie, you might want your seam to be a bit smaller than that, as Barbie’s chest circumference is a little bigger than Momoko’s.

If this isn’t the pattern you’re looking for, perhaps you’ll find the one you want on my free patterns page. But if you still can’t find what you want there, feel free to submit a question to me directly.

Need help printing my patterns? This link will take you to a tutorial showing you how to download my free, printable patterns.

I’ve also got a series of tutorials for the beginning sewists on my YouTube channel. It includes video tutorials showing you how to do a basic straight stitch when sewing by hand, how to use the whipstitch to hem a garment, how to sew on snaps, and even how to design your own doll clothes patterns, just like I do!

If you’re wondering why I make patterns and tutorials without charging a fee, please visit the “Chelly’s Books” page, and that should explain my general motivations. Overall, I love to sew, design doll clothes, and embroider, and I think it’s important to share my talents with the world, so others can learn to do what I do.

Also, when you print my patterns, it’s always friendly and kind to like it on FB, tweet about it, and/or pin it to your Pinterest page. That way you’re helping to spread the word that these free, printable sewing patterns exist. Thanks!
