Here’s my adorable “Sleepy Baby Dragon” pin cushion. I was part of a Facebook swap, wherein I made this pin cushion for one of the ladies in our group, while another lady made me a nice pin cushion too. If you’ve never done a sewing project swap before, let me say that they’re a lot of fun to participate in! If you look for my groups on Facebook (this group is called “Just Sew“), you can join us in the next swap!
Here’s another image of the pin cushion I made for my swap partner:

Isn’t he just adorable?
And, of course, I made this baby dragon pin cushion using one of my own patterns. So this week I’ll post the pattern–but let me warn you! This was not an easy project to make! So I only recommend this project to the seasoned, veteran sewists. For everyone else, you might think about adapting my Instagram pillow pattern to a smaller scale for a little pillow-style pin cushion. They’d be much easier to make.
One more look at my precious little sleepy dragon:

I can just hear him snoozing! Can’t you? — No wait. Maybe that’s my husband who has fallen asleep in his easy chair. Never mind. 😀
Next week I’ll be back to the same old stuff, since I’ve nearly completed a hi-low dress pattern for Curvy Barbie, and I’m hoping to have that done in time to post the free, printable sewing pattern for that project next week. So check back with me then, if you’re a fan of sewing for Barbie, and in particular, I’m talking to those fans of the Fashionista Barbies, who have been anxiously awaiting my free, printable patterns for Curvy Barbie.
Of course, I’ve already posted the patterns and tutorials for Tall Barbie’s doll clothes. Follow that link to find what you need there.
And I realize some of you are still waiting for a jacket pattern for Ken. It will come in due time! Be patient. Jackets are tricky to make, and I want to really make this one special.
Also, remember that I’ve designed some cute patterns for the Lammily doll company. Anyone who wants to show support of my website and its free patterns can do so by liking, pinning, or tweeting about my posts, but it’s really great, too, if you could purchase my patterns from Lammily LLC (if you happen to own a Lammily doll), as that helps the Lammily folks recognize that my pattern-making skills are appreciated.
Well, take care everybody! And I hope you have fun making pin cushions this week!
Aww… he’s so cute! I might have trouble repeatedly stabbing him he’s so cute.
It’s funny you should say that, aikifox85, because I had that same problem! Ha ha ha!
i can’t find the link for this pattern. love it
Yes, Sherry, I’ll post the patterns tomorrow and Wednesday… so hang in there! The patterns are coming!
