This is the first of two free patterns I’m posting this week. If you look back at yesterday’s post, you’ll see that these clothes fit Ken as well as Spin Master Liv Doll Jake (pictured on the pattern). The shirt will also fit some GI Joe dolls, which makes me think it might also fit some Hot Toys dolls. I made the sleeves wide enough for GI Joe’s thickly curled hands.

Tomorrow I’ll post the second free pattern in this series; then later in the week, I’ll post tutorials for making the pants and tie. You’ll have to wait a while for the shirt and jeans tutorials, but those are underway. I’m also planning to make a dinner jacket pattern for this set, but jackets are tricky. That may take a while.

Feel free to pin, like, or tweet about this pattern. (You’ll find those links will take you to my various social media pages.) I honestly just want to make sure doll dress makers everywhere get a chance to see that my free sewing patterns exist and are available to the general public. So please SHARE!

If this isn’t the pattern you’re looking for, perhaps you’ll find the one you want on my free patterns page. But if you still can’t find what you want here, feel free to submit a question to me directly. Remember that you need to enlarge my patterns to fit an American-sized sheet of printer paper (8.5 x 11 inches or 216 x 279 mm), without margins, in order to ensure that the pattern will fit your doll.

Need help printing my patterns? This link will take you to a tutorial showing you how to download my free, printable patterns.

I’ve also got a series of tutorials for the beginning sewists on my YouTube channel. It includes video tutorials showing you how to do a basic straight stitch when sewing by hand, how to use the whipstitch to hem a garment, how to sew on snaps, and even how to design your own doll clothes patterns, just like I do!

If you’re wondering why I make patterns and tutorials without charging a fee, please visit the “Chelly’s Books” page, and that should explain my general motivations. Overall, I love to sew, design doll clothes, and embroider, and I think it’s important to share my talents with the world, so others can learn to do what I do.

Thanks for stopping by!
