Would you like to make a monk’s habit, St. Patrick-style costume, or biblical character’s costume for one of your Ken dolls? This is just the pattern for it!

As many of my regular followers know, I’m making a stop-motion video of Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet with Barbie, Ken, and some other dolls. My website, ChellyWood.com offers free sewing patterns for each of the costumes I’ve designed for the “actors” in my play.

This is the pattern for Friar Laurence’s medieval-style hood, and this is one of two patterns for Friar Laurence’s robes; here’s the other robe pattern. You can also use these robes for making costumes for Biblical characters, like Joseph’s coat of many colors, Jesus and his disciples, Moses, or even St. Patrick! (Hooray for the Irish!)
