My favorite romantic movies are (in this order):
#1 Pride and Prejudice (I like the Kiera Knightly version, but most people agree that the Colin Firth version is tops)
#2 Jane Eyre (I like the version with Toby Stephens)
#3 The Notebook (it only takes third, but the BOOK is, by far, number one on this list)
#4 The English Patient (have your handkerchief ready)
#5 Sweetland
That last one stars Elizabeth Riser of Twilight fame. The funny thing about Sweetland is that so few people have heard of it, yet it’s one of my favorites. I watch it again and again.
Just now, while reviewing the links I’ve offered here, I said out loud, “I love it. That movie is so beautiful.” I was talking about Sweetland. If you haven’t seen it, you really should.
